Motivation and enthusiasm present themselves as interest and desire, and is a driving force that pushes you to take action to pursue your goals/dreams.
However, it often happens that you have the desire and interest, but you lack the key ingredient; motivation. This is a very frustrating situation, since you want to do a certain thing, but cannot get enough inner strength to take action.

There are many reasons for the lack of motivation. It could be due to a weak desire, laziness, and it could be due lack of self esteem or self confidence.
Lack of motivation and lack of enthusiasm are two of the main reasons for failure and of living a mediocre life.

You cannot blame other people if you lack the enthusiasm to follow your goals. You need to find a way to motivate yourself.
Lack of motivation and enthusiasm can show up in any facet of your life, home, work, relationships, exericse and in everything else. This often, creates indifference, unhappiness and dissatisfaction.

Reasons for Lack of Motivation and Enthusiasm:
•Lack of faith in your own abilities for success.
•Fear of failure, drawing on past failures.
•Fear of being judged / what others might say.
•The habit of procrastination.
•Pure Laziness.
•The feeling or belief that there are other more important things to do.
•Being too stressed or anxious.
•Not enough stimuli or incentives.

The above mentioned reasons stifle motivation and enthusiasm, and are only excuses for not acting. However, you learn to overcome and disregard them, by becoming aware and acknowledging them, understanding that you can change the way your mind works and your thinking process.

Sometimes, we experience short bursts of motivation and enthusiasm. You start acting enthusiastically, but this can be short lived and you lose interest or motivation after a while, this is due to that fact you find it hard to sustain motivation or enthusiasm. If you wish to improve your life and break this cycle, you need to awaken motivation and enthusiasm. Tell yourself, outloud, over and again, how much you gain by having them.

You need incentives to aid in your drive for following your big dreams, and also for the performance of minor daily tasks. Otherwise, laziness, absence of energy and procrastination will set in. Instead of suffering, feeling uncomfortable and passive, it would be much better to produce enough motivation to take action and do things. This will make you feel more positive, happy and satisfied.

Procrastination, laziness, indifference and passivity cause unhappiness, weakness and lack of satisfaction, but being enthusiastic, motivated and active bring a sense of joy, strength and power. By getting motivated, you act, do things, take your mind off problems and difficulties and focus on finding solutions and achieving success. Find out where you really need motivation. This means finding out what really matters to you and what actions would bring benefits, improvement into your life and into the life of the people around you.
Think hard, and discover what are your real goals in life, but don’t forget also to focus your attention on the little things of life, where a little motivation will help too.

Get the skills you need to take you to the finish line in whatever you do! Get the extra push, energy and perseverance to accomplish any task and to reach any goal. Simple methods anyone can use.

Start to overcome lack of motivation in the little, everyday affairs of life doing small, or not so important things, which you usually avoid doing, can help you increase your inner strength. When your inner strength grows, you will be able to push yourself to do greater things, even if you are not motivated enough.

When this happens, you will possess the ability to focus on what you want to do and awaken the energy you need.
1.Wash the dishes, now, just do them.
3.Turn off the TV and go exercise.
5.Decide on a book to read and start reading, even if you want to do other things.

In addition to becoming aware as to why we can lack motivation and enthusiasm, there are simple steps you can take to help you tackle a one day goal or even a 1-5 year goal. Implementing the following 7 steps can not only help you achieve your goals, but help you stay motivated throughout;

1. Set a goal and visualize it down to the most minute detail. Do this daily.
2. Make a list of the reasons you want to accomplish the goal.
3. Break the goal down into smaller pieces and set intermediary targets — and rewards.
4. Have a strategy, but be prepared to change course.
5. Get the help you need.
6. Pre-determine how you will deal with flagging motivation.
7. Continually check in with your reasons for carrying on.
8. See the Big Picture
